08/20/17 – The Good Kind of Weird – Ambassador

The “good kind of weird” can mean that we’re quirky, not quite on trend, and maybe even proud of it. It’s the kind of weird that makes someone say, “I’ve never seen kindness like that!” or, “I just met this person and they picked up my tab!”

Jesus’ life could definitely be described by the good kind of weird. Wherever he went, his radical love and revolutionary humility turned people’s heads. What if our lives could start to look a little more like that?

In this series, Good Kind of Weird, we’ll explore what it means to follow Jesus day-to-day and how that can make us seem “weird-in-a-good-way” as it transforms our lives.

08/6/17 – What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do – Making Decisions

Dive into Hebrews 11 and Hebrews 12 to see what it looks like to navigate running the spiritual “race”. Ryan uses a white board to present the idea of pursuing Christ instead of pursuing the “perfect” path during big life decisions. Learn to narrow life choices (like jobs, relationships, and finances) by eliminating paths that are sinful or unwise, leaving the freedom to choose between good options as we follow Jesus.

07/30/17 – What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do – Seeking Wise Counsel

Pastor Ryan, the Hulk, Batman, and several others walk us through Proverbs to learn how to build a “wisdom team” to approach life with Godly wisdom instead of worldly wisdom.

07/23/17 – What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do – Knowing God

“Life noun \ˈlīf\  the period from birth to death.”

The dictionary makes it sound so simple—like there aren’t a million decisions we make every day that shape the course of our lives.

Some of those decisions are made without a second thought. Where should I eat lunch? And some decisions are weightier. What career should I choose? Who should I marry? What is my life about? It’s in the midst of these bigger decisions that we often run into confusion and find ourselves asking, How can I know I’m making the best decision?

In our series What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do, we’ll dig into the Bible to find God’s thoughts about our decision-making and have confidence we’re taking the right path.

07/09/17 – What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do – Introduction

What if life is more about who we are becoming than what we are doing? Opening the series, What to Do When I Don’t Know What to Do, Pastor Jeff discusses insights from a metaphor Jesus uses about the vine and the branches (John 15). With a step by step process, Jeff digs into this paradigm shift to help us see the life-direction God desires for us.

Cute baby pictures, our friends’ wedding photos, puppies, the heart stopping endings of our favorite TV shows: all these things and more inspire us to feverishly hit the keyboard with”#allthefeels”.
And even though we might not Snapchat about emotions like anxiety, loneliness and insecurity as readily, they are often present in our day to day lives. Aside from not openly expressing these emotions, we often don’t even know what to do with them.
In our series, All the Feels, we’ll take a look at the role these emotions play in our lives, and explore together how to
interact with God to deal with them in a healthy way.

6/19/17 – Right Now – Fatherhood

Life is happening right now. It may not feel like it because we are so excited about the next big thing: graduation, marriage, the right job, retirement, you name it.

But here’s the thing, for all of us, right now is the only place life actually happens. Even when we find ourselves in circumstances we didn’t choose or plan for, who we are now and how we handle this stage of life, creates the next stage of life. Each day is filled with opportunities… the question is: are we able to see them?

In our series, Right Now, we’ll dig into what it means to be all-in in the life you have now. This semester we’ll focusing on gaining wisdom, life direction, and health in our relationships.
